Humayun Tomb Arches-1 - The dome is framed by the entrance arches, and the shadow of the intricate latticed window (Jaali) adds to the composition. Delhi (2008)

'Tiger Camouflage' Ranthambhore (2008) - The atmosphere was electric, filled with expectation of a tiger sighting in the wild. The Langur alarm calls became louder as the tiger moved closer. It finally made a grand appearance, approached my vehicle from the front. As it came closer, it turned and went down the embankment and ambled along a water body nearby, and started walking further away. It paused for a moment, at a spot that gave a perfect balance to the old ruin, and gifted me this rare shot.

'Chaiwala' (2015) - The tea shop window in Bow Bazaar frames the world of the man with his kettle, the cups, pots and biscuit jars. The Chaiwala of India, a ubiquitous presence on street corners and bustling markets, brews more than just tea. With skillful hands and aromatic spices, they stir stories, culture, and warmth in every cup, uniting people from all walks of life over a shared love for chai. These humble vendors, often overlooked, embody the essence of Indian hospitality and the spirit of community.

Though sculpted in the very hard basalt rock, it does depict the serene expressions beautifully. I have photographed it in very low available light with a hand held digital camera.

Welcome to my world of photography! Since I started my journey with the camera over 40 years ago, I have tried to capture fine art photography images of our universe, that convey a sense of beauty, awe and inspiration. It is a challenging endeavour, as perfect moments have to be captured at the precise moment as they happen, unlike for a painter, who has the liberty of creating art with the help of memory or reference. I invite you to explore and enjoy those fleeting moments, which I am happy to offer to you as limited edition fine art photography prints!
